The best locale would be Brentwood but it's out of your budget. Culver City might work. There are some Indian shops on Pico between La Cienega and Fairfax. That area is about 15 - 20 min from Beverly Hills and the area you've described. Try

im not sure how many indians live in those communities, but each place you mentioned is a nice neighborhood. However, Sherman Oaks is the farthest from where your husband's office is located. i doubt that you'll be able to keep the commute under 30 minutes from there considering how bad traffic is in LA.
