They mentioned having roommates though. My daughters are roommates and found a real deal at $1650 a month that includes everything. I think that is a pretty good deal.

Studio City is perhaps the most expensive spot in the Valley - right there with Toluca Lake. I wouldn't send a budget conscious person starting out there in a million years...

Pay a visit and compare for yourself. I'd do NoHo in an instant (esp vs. Canoga Park).

Yea. Don't listen to anyone who says bad things about NoHo in passing... As I found out in my rental search, NoHo has a REALLY BAD rep, but it doesn't apply anymore. Almost everything South of Oxnard St. is a completely decent place to live. The further South you go, the nicer it gets. Eventually, it will end up on Ventura Blvd., which is actually Studio City.

And yea, Canoga Park SUCKS compared to NoHo.

NoHo is awesome! Probably 5 years or so ago it had a bad rep but the city has cleaned up quite nicely! My roommate and I moved her and we loooooove it. We also have friends in Sherman Oaks who really enjoy living there. A bunch of my friends also live in Los Feliz, which is an awesome place (very artsy) but you'll probably want to figure out where you're working before looking there.
