Pinks is a landmark, so if you haven't been, go!

I also love In-n-Out and Fatburger. I eat very little fast food-- seldom have red meat-- so I consider them treats. I can't see why anybody would go to McDonald's. Big waste of calories.

Well, yeah dude.
Don't you think it's the most overrated fast-food place in the entire world.
I'm serious.
The lines enormous enough to wrap around the block at times and it's barely distinguishable from the food they serve at high school sports events if you ask me.

I've only been to In-N-Out a couple times and I agree that it's nothing special. Not really into the burger and theirs is nothing special. I prefer subs, Cousins, Subway, even Quiznos.

I love Pinks! I know some people out there are not to fond of it but I used to hate hot dogs until I had a Pinks dog.

In-n-Out isn't the best burger but sometimes I crave it. Also, I do like their fries, but you have to eat them quickly because when they cool down they get bad.

You just lost all your credibility right there. Nobody with functioning taste buds, or who did not just arrive from a parallel universe in which McDonald's hamburgers don't taste like plywood, would ever say anything so hilariously absurd.

In-N-Out has the greatest fast-food burger on the planet. It isn't even arguable. I live for my Double-Doubles. Not only do they have the greatest burgers (and fries), they have the best service and the best and cleanest restaurants. I love this place so much I run around wearing the damn T-shirts.

Did I mention I've actually LOST weight on a diet that includes at least three or four of these things a week? Oh, In-N-Out is magical, my friend. It is one of the few truly great things left about living in California.

NOT over-rated.

As someone who is NOT from California....I find In-N-out GREAT.

I don't see where all the hype is deserved. The burger is nothing special, seems very sloppy and served without much flair. Loads of fat, grease, etc.

In n Out is very good for what it is - Fast Food. They keep it simple & fresh. If you don't value that eat elsewhere.

As far the hype goes, it is a bit over the top. But that's not In n Out's fault. They are one of the few native californian regional institutions in an area dominated by "Generica" restaurants and businesses so they represent "home" to alot of Californians.

Very similar thing to Tastycakes in Philadelphia or Natioanl Bohemian beer for BWI locals or bid red soda for texans. None are the be all end all for thier categories, but since they are strongly identified with a particular area they become local favorites with loyal followings.
