Going to be renting a townhome in Sun Prairie and was wondering if anyone could tell me how the schools are in the area. I have a 4,7 and 15 yr old. Or we can rent a house in Waupun, does anyone know how the schools are in that area?

Thanks,
Diane

The elementary schools in Sun Prairie vary pretty widely. Check out www.greatschools.org The high school is brand new and has a good reputation. I'm not familiar with Waupun, but it's a much smaller town so there is likely to be less diversity but probably less opportunity for advanced courses and sports/music/afterschool programs.
Good luck!

Sun Prairie vs. Waupun? That's a big jump as SP is in dane county and waupun is located in a more normal place.
What do the parents do for work?

Not that I disagree, but it's funny how you compare Dane County to "a more normal place" that is home to a maximum security PRISON!!!

True, in Waupun, the criminals are incarcerated. In dane county, they are either running it or roaming the streets. I think in madison, mendota mental health institute (central colony?) must have a work release program of sorts so their patients can get to their city/county council meetings.

Or civics courses:

We decided to take the town home in Sun Prairie. So my next question would be Which Elementary School would he be attending? We will be near the new Woodmans and Target area.

Thanks!

I was going to refer you to their web site and recommend you call them, but it appears their web site is down.

Here is the high school's phone number:
Telephone: 608-834-6500

Hopefully they can give you the number for the central office.......

Great to find a good sense of humor.

Actually, the state union workers at waupun do have a lot in common with the state union workers in madison, just as the state union workers in columbia corrections have a lot in common with the state union workers in madison, just as...
