Two of our members figure prominently in this well written and well illustrated article. It's a winner on many levels.

I'll wait for her to say in case she doesn't want her name associated with her nic.

There's another version available online that works well for dial up.
Word-of-Mouth Works - Lancaster Farming

She's done an incredible job of bringing in high-quality, locally grown foods in spite of not being able to make the initial contact with farmers. There's only one other commissary of this size ahead of her, and I bet that's temporary.

Here [I think] is the link to page 6 of that magazine [where the remainder of the article is].

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed doing the interview, and love working with the local farmers.

High forum etiquette indeed. I just had to toot that horn without being too specific. Great job ladies!

I just read the article. I'm as proud and appreciative of my friends as I can be. I always look for you two to do good things. I'm not really surprised.

It's hard for me to restrain myself when I want to tell everyone "Look what Bonnie does!" She's gone above and beyond.

There are times I want to post links to stories to show everyone what's going on in Maine agriculture. This is the first time it's been about a forum member. There are two members in the story.

I'm not either! She works hard. Until we had the phone interview I had no idea how long Bonnie has been at the commissary. I thought it was a job new to her when they retired here (retire? Not Bonnie.) but she's been in that job for a long time. She makes me wish I could beg my way into the commissary.
