Personally I don't like being called a hick, I prefer "Rube"
Personally I like living in such a vacationland.

I do as well. I have always lived in areas that were heavy tourist (except Aroostook County, not many tourists up this way), and have had a good chuckle at folks who come in for a week or two, Then look down at we "uneducated boobs" who don't live in "hectic city, USA."

You may be a hick if you see these birds on the front lawn.

No, he probably used the head in another one of his contraptions to scare away wildlife! Next, he's down to using Santa on an old toilet to scare away buyers from Maineah's upscale neighbor's house!

You guys have so much fun in Maine!

You know, I see these on lawns and think... "These people long for the sunny skies of Florida."
I just never thought of "Hick".

I always "assumed" a hick was recogized
*Wash machine on the porch,

*6.5 cars in the yard (and one worked the others were parts for that one)

*plus the livingroom couch by the bar q grill out on the lawn was the other clue in locating the people.
I'm adding all these to my memory.

I'll be driving down the road this point on and see something and think... "Aww.. hick-a-fied home owner there."
