Yes it is! We would hike it 3 or 4 times a summer as a youth. Of course this was in the general vicinity of the lost Vermont hunter and is quite an expanse of backcountry.

Now that you mention it, you're right. The diner in Mars Hill is (drum roll please) Al's Diner. Just like all the cartoons. I never think about the Blue Moose either for some reason. Both ARE better than Irvings.
