A cobalt, blue sky greeted us this morning and the brightness was stunning! We waited until noon before we ventured outside (after a hearty breakfast of cheddar cheese, steak, onions and green peppers folded into an omelet), to clear off and start-up our vehicles...
Remembering my slip and fall yesterday morning, I was more cautious of the ice that lurked underneath the snow...as I was surprised to find myself (in my fleece bathrobe WITHOUT my Phone), laying on the ground.
Our main focus was to clear out the ends of our crescent-shaped driveway (or dooryard), where the snowplow had created a berm..
We weren't out for very long (with our scoops and snow shovel), before our fingers became cold and we needed to retreat indoors for some hot cocoa and a shot of vodka (for me)!
A couple hours later we retired....
I had forgotten how joyful it is to work with my husband, Jon.
Love your words and forecasts, NEB - happy new year to you! Watch that ice!

Currently here, in Downeast, Maine...
24F Degrees, Dew Point 10F Degrees, Winds SW13mph, Gusts 20mph, Lightly snowing...

Every hour up and down...
In need of REM, only to be awaken by the need of my client!
The previous night, I can only remember..
Two hours undisturbed of sleep!
after more than an hour and a half of prayers...
at the end of a 48hr shift!
my head hits the pillow!
longing for sleep..
yet, gratitude enveloped me!
and peace covered and warmed me...
as I remembered the prayers of those who encourage me!
Joy arose and carried me until
the face of my Beloved was embraced...

Currently here, in Downeast, Maine, 12F Degrees, Dew Point 0F Degrees, Winds SSE 4mph, Gusts 5mph...Clear and a beautiful Moon rising across the Birch Meadows...

I belly laughed and snorted my way through this day...
Channels on Telegram encouraged me!
I call it Endorphin therapy...
Hey, I'm a Caregiver!
If I'm not full and spilling over with joy!
what do I have to offer?
The Joy of The Lord is my Strength!
He pours in...
and from that, I and others draw!
Living waters flow...
and upon Him I draw!
and pour out!
a depth I never comprehended...
A love expressed!
from a depth I've never known...
Deep calls to deep!
This is not religion...
it is a relationship!
Had communion with my husband...
Wherever two or more are gathered!
and Jesus....
Looking forward to those of like-mindedness to join us..
knowing Faithful and true will draw!
Hey! Bless you in your endeavors...
Mostly, may you know you're loved beyond comprehension!
and He who loves you, does so with an everlasting love!

Currently here in Downeast Maine, 15F Degrees, Dew Point 13F Degrees, Winds N 1mph, Gusts 2mph, Cloudy....

Thankful I was able to make it to my client's home (for a 48hr shift)...
I took the Beast - 4 wheel drive, stabilatrak, snow tires and studs ...
I fish-tailed up my client's drive/dooryard on Monday!
Thankful that the storm didn't begin until I arrived!
While on duty, I realized snow-plowing and sand distribution in our driveway/dooryard is necessary!
It's been hard...
We used to be able to scoop-out after a major snow storm!
But the ice (after everything melted), was the tie-breaker!
If you can't cross that stretch of driveway/dooryard to pick-up the mail...
Not good!

Currently here, in Downeast, Maine.....5F Degrees, Dew Point -5F Degrees, Winds NW 7mph, Gusts 12mph....Clear (and Fing cold!)
At the end of the day...
do you wonder if what you've seen and heard was the truth?
It's ok to wonder!
It's ok to think for yourself and search out the truth beyond what is before you!
It's ok!
You're not alone!
This, is the Great Awakening...
and you're part of it!
be encouraged....
The truth will set you free!

Default It will be worth it all!

Currently here, in Downeast, Maine...13F Degrees, Dew Point -2F Degrees, Winds ENE 2mph, Gusts 4mph
To say it's, "Fair," is an understatement...

Blue skies greeted us once again as we rolled out of a deep slumber with blankets piled high!
Since I now work two nights away from home, I miss my comfortable bed and the presence of, Dear One, even more...
We finally purchased an amazing bed last June and it embraces us with comfort every night!
and gratefully, when I return on Wednesday morning....
for that long nap I need after a 48hr shift!
Finally purchased a Keurig...
So, all we have to do is shuffle into the cold kitchen!
and there is that perfect cup (with also keto and collagen mixed in), of coffee...
No piddly-dinking!
Nor messy clean-up...
Just simplicity - that's how I like my mornings!
Quietude and the review of what's happening on Telegram....
Curtains drawn upon an amazingly beautify day...
of Birch Meadows covered with snow (about six inches with drifts of up to seven to eight, here and there).
Replaced the birdseed in the bird feeders, this afternoon!
Puffy, Blue Jays, Doves, Juncos, Chickadees, Sparrows and an unusual flock of birds arrived...
I've yet to identify them!
This is coming from someone who identified an Indigo Bunting and a Bobolink at my bird feeders, in Summer...
Who've lived here for six years and never seen this flock before!
So it goes at Birch Meadows...
Beauty before us!
Peace surrounding us!

Currently Here in DownEast, Maine...22F Degrees, Dew Point 15F Degrees, Winds NNW 2mph, Gusts 2mph, Cloudy!

Listening to the Album (ya I'm Old School), "Year of the Cat," by Al Stewart....
Seeking some peace after we went into Brewer and Bangor, to purchase a few items!
Constantly I'm reminded why we live so far away from the Cities..
Those are some negative vibs, folks and terrified looks from behind facemasks can be disturbing!
As a Caregiver, I have to avoid them (negative vibs),as much as I can!
I pour into those in need...
Mostly they are clients with dementia and I have to be full before I pour out!
So, upon returning home, I scooped a path to the bird feeder (as there is at least 6-8" of remaining snow and some drifts are up to 10" as the back of our old farmhouse faces the North), made sure the bird feeders were full (and there was plenty of suet cake), before I listened to Bernie (Thumping), Rayno, on AccuWeather!
Miss seeing him on Twitter, but I was booted off on January 6th...
Still, hoping (and yes, I do pray), it will go out to sea and we won't get a smack-down like Boston!
Although there is Blizzard Warnings, High Winds and the Kitchen Sink thrown in there...
I'm standing on no electrical outages nor accidents in our area!
Grateful for those who plow our driveway/dooryard here!
Monday, I will be out on the roads again...
Caring for those in need!
