Yeah, there's a couple of senarios being shown by the models. It's typical they flip flop with things this far out but the "potential" and "chance" for snow next weekend is there. (not a big event)

Also.. another thing that's flip flopping is one run they show a deep Arctic cold airmass next week, another it's back to seasonable weather.

So forecasts should be reflecting these flip flops if you follow them each day.

We'll know better by mid week

Keep an eye on this clipper coming down on Friday which will give a "little" snow event to Chicago and Mid West Friday night.

Important because the Euro model shows it merging with a coastal storm which would bring a 6"+ snowstorm to New England.

Right now everyone is discounting the Euro because it's alone in the solution. So Flurries and Light snow possible this weekend for Maine.

Wanna know how Maine does with El Nino Winters?

Nice article that shows a bunch of locations...

You may be surprised.

Read More: Graphic and Stats included.

We are entering a very strong El Nino pattern this year. How will the winter be?

Head to Kansas. Did you see the blizzard in Kansas yesterday?

Was 81° there 14 days ago. 4" of snow accumulated there. Normal 1st 4" snowfall is December 29th so over a month earlier than normal. Everything is West of us this year....so far.

In fact the 6.7" of snow this month there in Goodland is the most November snow since 1994.

Maine should see some this weekend. Not a huge storm though. Just to put us in the festive mood.

16 degrees F at my house outside of BH this morning. Of course, I'm always the coldest spot on the island.

Lowest temp in Maine from the main climo sites was Fryeberg & Sanford this morning at 14°.

Good link to save. It's sorted by Low of the day but you can change that by clicking the header.
