When you buy something on barter and swap, and the seller tells you that they won't be there but that you should just stop by, since its in the garage. Pick it up and pay later when you see them---even though you never met them before, and don't normally "see" them.

this is comical, ive done this many times,

I was going to sell my sons "racecar" bed in uncle henry's

a single mother called- she said her sons birthday is coming soon, and this is what he asked for,
I asked if she had a truck-she said her father would drive her over, he has a truck
I could hear the kids in the background, she said she had two boys and just recently got out of an abusive relationship and starting over

I gave her directions to my house, said I wouldnt be there, but pick up the bed
I filled that bed with all kinds of toys my son no longer played with, some shoes, jackets, etc.

I left a note saying its all free- please take it

Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity. It's been a little lacking lately. I'm sure she greatly appreciated it.

She did- she called that evening in tears and thanked me, I told her it was a good lesson in "giving" for my son. (and me)
