Star, candles sound great, and we might of gotten the same sheets. I got the ones that were 450 thread count satin cotton sheets for 29.95. I love to slip into my bed with these golden colored sheets. They are so nice.
Good for you to have the chance to shop. Seems odd that the price was higher... everyone says "Even a banker friend of ours) says property is down.

This should be your year. Fingers Crossed.
Ohh...There's a house up the road from us and it is a fixer upper, but I don't know how much land goes with it thou. Probably less then (A).

Baileyville is one of many little towns that quote the phrase... You can't get there from here.

Well, hello Peachie! I'll take that spot right there between you and Molly! I've actually seen Star's photos before, so I was wondering where she was. Should have guessed behind the camera!

That is true. I graduated Highschool at "Woodland High" back in 19**.
I always recalled the town office was called Baileyville, but if I look back and I would have to double check this of course.. but I believe at one point in 80's that the sign outside of the post office read Woodland Post Office, and you could send all your mail to Woodland, Maine.
But, there is another Woodland Maine up North.

Well, this was an investor we were dealing with and they had been refusing to quote a figure, even though his wife went on and on about how "the buyout was less than they expected...." When I asked him how much he wanted, he (honestly) replied "as much as I can get."

Now, there are those who might have no issue with that, but... I guess I am too much a socialist. I never mind someone making a fair profit, we all need something for our efforts, but that sounded too much like Rockefeller's response when asked how much $$ was enough. His reply: "A little bit more," was one of those AH-HA moments for me...

But, right here and now I am having a really hard time being content with what I have... and an equally hard time having sympathy for greedy investors.

And yea, likely we did get the same sheets... Ours are beige.

We bought a lot of them while Kristin was cheering but always got the group discount by ordering through the school. These were on sale but still a little pricey. My sister was with us and called me spoiled. She's a MUCH better bargain hunter than me.

On the Fourth of July ever since I was a kid....a silly rhyme my mother taught me, goes thru my mind.....I have to say it.....so might as well here.

"I asked my mother for fifty cents;
To see the elephant jump the fence;
It jumped so high, it touched the sky;
And didn't get back till the 4th of July."

I guess I will continue the tradition and teach it to my grand daughter when she comes over this afternoon. See if she is still saying it 60 years later.

Does anyone else think of that jingle on the Fourth?
