I'll supply the balsam but you'll have to pick it. You'll have to bring a pair of clippers, a ring and a spool of wire. Most hardware stores have rings and wire but if you can't find them easily let me know and I'll pick it up for you. Together they probably cost less than $3. We can share clippers if you don't have them. If you want to decorate your wreath you'll need to bring those things with you too. Traditionally, Maine wreaths have a bow, reindeer moss, pine cones, rose hips and other natural decorations but you can add anything you'd like. I've seen them with tree ornaments, just a bow, lights and plain. You'll pick your own brush as long as the weather isn't terrible. I'll show you how to do it properly to keep my brush trees in good shape. If you can't walk far on uneven ground you can tip at the edge of the woods. You'll need boots to wear in the woods because we have a lot of natural springs, and you'll need hunter orange if we do this on a Saturday.

I have a 12 x 24 greenhouse with benches we can use to make wreaths. If it's cold I can light the heater so our hands don't freeze while we work. If it's going to rain that day I can pick brush ahead of time. I'm sure I can get Molly and Peachie out here to help me! I'll make a big pot of chicken, veggie, noodle soup and breads for lunch. I should have lettuce, spinach and other greens for a salad too.

If you don't know how to make a wreath we can teach you. Wreath size is up to you. The wreath above is 40". There's enough brush here for everyone to make a huge wreath if you'd like.

There's no charge - just come out and have a good time, meet some online friends if you haven't already, and make a wreath.

It's gorgeous ! My father sends me one every year from Maine, I love them.

So, can I order a helping of freshed mulled cider with my Maine Friends Made wreath? I've never had fresh cider. I wouldn't even know what to expect it to taste like!

(Molly, don't forget to spike mine! Shhh!!)

Oooooh...I can see it now...a few trips to the naughty crock, and we'll be telling ourselves that square or oblong wreaths with shredded, cider stained ribbons are ALL the rage this year!
