What would be the approximate drive time from Camden to Eastport, and would this be along Rt 1 or Rt. 9?

Thank you

Route 1 as Route 9 goes nowhere near Camden - If you want to go via Route 9, go to Bangor and pick it up there to Eastport.

It should take about 4 hours or so going up Rt 1. If you take Rt 9 it will probably take that long at least unless you know the back roads like Holden to E. Eddington and from Alexander through Meddybemps to Pembroke. Easier and prettier going by rt 1. G/Daughter calls the airline "the road of the never-ending forest".

Google says: it is about 159 miles and should take you about 3 hours 8 mins.

In Camden head north on Main St/US-1, Turn right at County Rd/ME-190 to Eastport.

Sounds a little short to me 159 miles on 1 and 9, wouldn't that be more like 4 1/2? For the record, mapquest says it should only take us 19 hours to Eastport and even with only stopping for gas and going 80+ as much as possible it was 21 1/2.

It's about 4 hours from Belfast to Eastport...so Camden to Eastport should be about 4 1/2 hours.

We take Rt 1 to Bucksport and pick up RT 46 to RT 9 to RT 1 again.

The misconception, my opinion here, is that Rt 9 saves time. If you're going to Calasi or Woodland then yes it will. But I find that traveling rt 9 sdaves me about 20 minutes from Bangor/Brewer over coming down Rt 1. And I know all the shortcuts through the "willy-wags". Once you get to Rt 1 in Baring it's still another 45 minutesto Eastport from there. And, yes, I do go (just a modicum) above teh speed limit. Always did have a heavy foot.

Did really understand what you said.

I do not live in Bangor, I live in Belfast. I have always driven 1 to 46 to 9. I don't usually go to Eastport though, I destination has always been N.B.
