Hello,
My husband is being transfered to MD and I want to be down there in time to put my child in Kindergarten. Yes, I know it starts Aug 27th. I am freaking out over this time frame! She is smart for her age, so I am looking for a school system that focuses on the child as an individual, and challenges or has an advanced level.

We are very open as to where we go, as his territory will be VA, DC,MD,DE and some of southern NJ. I have been looking in Howard county (too expensive), Harford county and montgomery county.
As far as where we land, our price range is 320K to 400K for a 4 bd/2bth.

We will need to be in a temp corporate housing to start, while we look for a new home. I would like to find a good school in an area that offers temp furnished housing. This is the hard part for me so far, as most temp housing is in or around the city.

I appreciate any help

Hi- I answered your PM. I think you haven't had many responses on this forum because with what you want: 4br in top school district, your budget is very low. We are relocating from NJ, and have found the DC are to be just as pricey. In terms of school, and convenience, you get what you pay for. If possible, downgrade to looking for a 3br, there is a huge price difference.

We purchased a home in NWDC, which is expensive. We really wanted a more urban-suburban lifestyle. If you are willing to go out past Potomac (is it Rockville??), you will get much more for your money, and still have good schools.

I hope this was helpful... Good luck!!
