Hello Maryland. My wife and I are looking to move and build a house in the North Brook community of Centreville. There are two builders that are currently building in there, "Richmond American Homes" and "Serenity Homes". Any one have any experience and guidance with these builders? How is the neighborhood? How is the town? Do most people make the commute to Easton for most of your shopping and dining? Anything else that would be good to know about this area and town before making the move?

THANKS!

Some general thoughts: Expect to be a "come-here" to the locals. It can be very tight knit, and "everyone's related to everyone". Not in a inbred kind of way, just small town America. Your "cities" for dining/shopping will be Chestertown (16mi), Easton (22mi), Annapolis (31mi), and Dover (37mi). Expect to cross the bridge now & again. There are also Queenstown Outlets between Centreville and Easton. Dover/Baltimore are your major ERs (there are closer hospitals, but if it's Trauma, or something else really major, that's where you go).

There is new Trauma center in Grasonville. Many specialists have offices in Annapolis. With Eastern Shore offices in Chester as well as Centreville and Easton.
Do whatever you can do to avoid the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Thursday-Sunday in the summer months especially. The traffic is a nightmare.
People here are very warm and friendly -even to newbies. Join a VFW or American Legion if eligible (they have auxilliarys for relations to Vets) and get to know the natives.
