Right now I'm in Harford and alpt of people from NYC (including hubb) relocated here for the same reason as you. I would look into BRAC jobs on Aberdeen proving Ground, civilians form out of state have been relocating with employment there. Good luck, you'd be in familiar company if you make it here!

I agree with RoadTripGirl. I have few contractor friends that relocated from Virginia to working at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Contractor jobs are increasing big-time in Maryland/DC/VA areas. If you have four kids, then that area may be a great fit for you in terms of affordability, schools, low crime, etc. I haven't heard a complaint about living in the Aberdeen area except that it's a little quiet.

Good luck!

Just do you research first no matter where you move. Call the local precinct in that area. Just locate a job first and make sure you are near good school and you should be just find every area has their down side just find the one that you know you can deal with and visit that location.
