Would like to know some good places to buy furniture as well as some store (besides Target) to buy household goods such as furniture slip covers, wall pictures, decorations/accent pieces, ect. Looking for places that are no more than a 45min drive from Fall River and are not EXTREMELY expensive (not forking over 40$ for ONE kitchen chair cushion for example)
Thanks

Cross posting this in RI forum as well

Home Goods and Christmas Tree Shops are my personal favorites for home decor. TJ Maxx, Marshalls and IKEA have good selections as well. All have various locations (except IKEA which is in Stoughton/Avon area).

I would take the drive to Stoughton/Avon. You'll find IKEA, Xmas Tree Shop, Jordan's Furniture, and Bob's Furniture.

Also, I think Cardi's Furniture just opened a store in Fall River.

I would also recommend the IKEA in Stoughton and the Christmas Tree Shops. There are numerous Xmas Tree locations, but there is also one right next to IKEA. Christmas Tree Shops are excellent for things such as albums, frames, wall decor, kitchen utensils and dishes. You might also check out Marshall's and TJ Maxx, but I think Xmas Tree and IKEA will have better prices in general.

Craigslist (especially the free section) and thrift shops.

Bumping...

Looking for bedroom furniture now- mainly for the little guy so need a twin bed. We checked out Bobs Discount but couldn't find anything we liked. Also checked out Cardi's, Lazy Boy, & Basset but we do not want to spend 1K+ on a kids bed. Also stopped at various outlet/discount chains that had signs stating "Going out of Business" but can't remember the name of them- Near Ikea. We just haven't been able to find too many options.

We did find one bed at Jordan's that we really like, a Captains bed, not on their website for some reason, that is 499. Very cute. However, we want to have a couple options before we make final choice

Any of you know of any other furniture stores (Newport to Boston, Providence to New Bedford) that have kids beds that are no more than 500-600$? Not bedroom set, but just the bed itself

Thank you

craigslist!!!!!

As with buying a used car, consider the owners and their lifestyle before deciding to take the item. Answer ads that are located in the more upscale towns. And if they are slobs, then pass on their furniture. But if they keep a tidy and neat household, then I'd not have any worries.

Not Craigslist. That is not a good place to buy a bed- especially a bed for a child. One thing people should never buy used is beds. A person can have a tidy and neat house and still have bugs and/or diseases

I am talking brand new furniture. Thank you though
