Nice photos Puffle! Its good to see people like yourself interested in our local history.
So those are crabtrees? Coming from California we do not have trees like this that flower and smell great so I am totally unfamiliar with what I am admiring and if these flowers eventually just become leaves or stay flowery?
I have so much pride in the Massachusetts and the neighboring states and love American history, especially Yankee American history that I just can't get enough of it. I believe you could spend years here trying to soak up all the history and visiting all the historic sites. We've only just begun!

There are leaves now, you just cant see them with all that profusion of flowers. After the flower petals drop, the fruit will start to eventually grow.

Heres a great resource to look at..... TreeHelp.com: Trees: Species: Crabapple

I have a great interest in American history as well, haveing spent countless hours over the years at various sites not only around but out west during my vacation time.

The last group of pics I took were taken in one afternoon walking around Boston and Cambridge. I finally brought my little digital with me. So many opportunities for beautiful pics to be taken...just need a hundred years to do it!
