You've captured a lot of the flavor of the area. Nice job! I especially like the pics of Salem. I lived there for a few years and loved it. I think I may just have to plan a trip back to just stroll around.

Thank you for sharing Verseau. I love your perspective on some of these pictures. Funny that a place like Newburyport, through somebody else's camera lens, can look so different. Although Newburyport has become completely "yuppified" (State Street Candle and Mug and the Estate Jewelry store closing was proof of that!) it's still a beautiful and charming downtown. I'm glad you managed to make it down to the waterfront along the pier, to see the boats. An ice cream cone on a summer night on the dock is the best

Bash Bish Falls
Cool thread. Although I have a "day job", Im also a photographer. I did a shoot this past Oct. at Bash Bish Falls in Western Mass. I want to post my favorite shot on this thread, however I cannot post same pic TWICE on the Cd forum. Can see it down in general topics, scroll down to photography section to the photo contest for Jan/Feb (top thread) Its on pg 2 , look for tom62 entry. While there, why not vote for your favorite? Anyhow, will post up here after the contest. The Berkshires are beautiful...

A few random places
Here are some more random photos of Massachusetts.
The things that always surprises me about the Boston area is how many trees there are, even in very dense inner suburbs.
In order: Mount Greylock, the state's high point; Watertown as taken from Mt. Auburn Cemetery; Waltham and Newton from Prospect Hill Park; and Harvard Stadium against the Boston skyline.

Thank you!!
Thank you to all those who took the beautiful pictures of Boston. You really captured what I love so much about this city. I grew up here and left just 6 months ago for my husband's job. We will be back in 2 years, but I can't tell you how much I miss everything about Boston. We are in London right now, and while I am thrilled for the experience, there is no place like home. Funny, the pictures of Newbury look so much like where we are living now! Still, I love Bostonians for their friendliness (yes, especially compared to London!!!!). We did come home for Christmas, and I'll tell you, Bostonians really seem to know how to 'do it up right' in terms of decorations, etc. Can't wait to move back home. Thanks again for the reminder of this beautiful area of the world.
