I've seen a few different versions of that map. Looks like this one is one of the better ones. I've seen the "there be dragons here" reference any area past Worcester pretty much on some of the older ones.

That is GREAT!

No wonder it's so scary driving along rte 202 at night. You've explained it. They might come out of the woods.

Border of dragons/sasquatch, hippie farmers, pumpkins and anarchists here! Trust me on the farthest west reaches, for every cultured hill folk there are three children of the corn out there!

But tomorrow I have to swing down through the wastelands of Gillette Stadium to West Portugal :-/ boooo

Don't hold your breath! Driving back from a visit to EMass many years ago, I took rte 2 west and it was late at night when I traversed the evil rte 202 south. I don't think I ever saw even one other car, just that terrifying forest which the dragons and sasquach inhabit. After finally arriving near the land of hippies and students/Volleyball and Blight, I swore I'd NEVER do that again.

(maybe you could drag someone to Petersham. Don't set them free until they can pronounce it, lol.)

I'm from Billerica and it looks its in the border region of "Leafy, Liberal and Loaded", "Mill towns and Methodone", and "Townies and Immigrants."

Yes. Correct pronunciation of Petersham is mandatory. As with some eastern ones like Scituate. Oh, and Leicester. And Eastham. I could go on...
