I have seen these challenges on YouTube. I never thought you could die. You have to build up a tolerance and can't go straight for something that hot.there is a death nut challenge that has like 15 peanuts in a container and you need to eat all in ten minutes I think. What caused his death was it his heart?. I never knew it could cause a heart situation from spicy. Someone said you could choke on the powder in the chip.

It's weird that he was feeling fine that night (according to his mother). I would have thought that if someone was gonna die from this, it would happen shortly after eating the chip.

In an article I read the mother is saying the kid went to school nurse, she was called and they went home where he later passed out and died. Mother is now saying the kid should have been sent to hospital from the school nurse and not home. People always want to blame someone else. A school nurse would never send someone to a hospital with a stomach ache. Why did the mother just not take her son to the hospital after leaving the school nurse ? Welcome to America where no one wants to be a parent.

Your supposed to have food in your stomach when you do this. I can't see how you can die from this. I can see major stomach problems though.

My son is 9 and wanted me to buy Takis. Other kids at school had them. I bought them and they are disgusting. I don't even think he likes them. I normally like chips but I don't know why anyone would enjoy eating these things. They're not necessarily that spicy but just have too much seasoning or something. They come in weird colors like green and blue and orange.

So sad, and likely a 1 in 10 million reaction of some sort. The spicy food challenges normally feel a lot more innocent, harkening back to way back in the 90s (lol) and what we did on the playground. Normally it's the kind of thing that gives you a tummy ache, no more. How very sad and unfortunate for this boy and his family.
