Keep in mind that the only buildings I'm showing in this & previous sets of pics are the higher profile structures going down Union Avenue from Downtown, then turning onto Poplar Avenue junction and then Poplar Ave. all the way to Germantown,TN. Except this next north/south strip that crosses Poplar Ave.
Highland/University Of Memphis (from north to south)

The relatively new "Stratum"

After traveling for miles down Union ave then Poplar ave, you'd think most of the urban fabric of the city was behind you, but not in Memphis. The metro is quite underrated by census criteria, but it becomes apparent this contiguous urban core of 1.1 million has even more urbana to offer...

East Memphis continued (from the 27th floor of the Hilton Tower)

The 2 closest bldgs in this pic are part of the ServiceMaster Corporate Headquarters

You can see the new 340ft Memphis Int'l Air Traffic Control Tower (u/c) on the horizon

Downtown on the horizon

More to come from back on the ground...

My personal favorite for East Memphis -International Paper Corporate Headquarters Tower I, II & III

The Renaissance Center

...And last, but not least is The Forum I-V. This is the last major commercial office development on Poplar Ave before Memphis gives way to Germantown.

As I left the area traveling to the north thru the Wolf River Medical Corridor (which is worthy of a photo shoot), then thru the nations largest urban park, Shelby Farms. I took this shot which I know there is a better vantage point inside the park to see more of the East Memphis skyline, but it was sunset and the park was closing.
The Hilton Tower, Clark Tower & White Station Tower

...And another one of these Greenway signs like I saw on Highland.

Enjoy!

I'd say 2, Downtown & East Memphis. Although, the Memphis metro now has highrise structures in 2 other submarkets, Tunica & the Airport. Most other mid-sized cities don't have features like that. Rivals of our great city would rather deny their existence.
