Chinese are well liked by Latins in Miami, particularly Cantonese.
The Latin culture also includes a fair amount of Cantonese.
Vietnamese were big in Little Havana during the 70's and 80's, well liked highly cultured people that came pennyless from Vietnam.
Most Asians in Dade come from Latin/South America. You can find Japanese from Brazil and Peru, Indians from Belize, Cantonese from Cuba, Colombia, Peru, etc.
Asians are part of the Latin culture since Cantonese were brought as coolies during the 19th Century, and Filipinos are Latin.

Seems like I saw a demographic somewhere that said Miami was 2% Asian. Many stores in the Garment district are owned by Asians but I rarely see any on the streets.

Food wise, we've eaten here a few times. Jumbo Buffet - North Miami Beach, FL

Yes, probably in homestead. They seem to hate everybody there, based on my horrific customer service experiences in that branch of hell
hello, did you hear what i said twice? the only two areas ive seen it were by the airport and north miami beach.

I love asians and asian culture. I'll take it any day over latin culture but I learn heavily towards the southeast asian tropical cultures and the climate is right to grow all their herbs and vegetables here.

I really haven't heard of hatred against Asians here.

If you want to meet Filipinos, go to a hospital, may of the nurses are Filipinos. My mom was inpatient recently at Kendall Regional and most of the nurses were Filipinos.

Yesterday an Asian girl at a Subways in Kendall turned out to be Peruvian.

gotta say my stay in the philippines last year was probably the best vacation ive ever had. drinking tuba (wine made from the fermented juice of the coconut flower) and riding around on the back of motorcycle taxis and seeing beautiful waterfalls and tons of lush vegetation and coral in every shape and color of the rainbow so thick you have to wade through hedges of it. my mind was blown. i truely think i could live there.

The results of the 2010 census indicate that there are nearly 36,000 Asians in Miami-Dade County. That's a very small percentage (1.4%) of a total population of almost 2.5 million. With such a small population, it is unlikely there are any "Asian" areas, and I personally have never heard of any. It's too bad. I wish we had a larger Asian population here. It would add to the ethnic diversity and truly make us an international city.
