Just to clear the air I wasn't judging you. I don't indulge in such activity. Secondly, I'm not a know-it-all. Lastly, I'm an African-American. So, now who's judging who? However, to solve your issue how about you try moving your tv to another location or purchase an antenna and hook it to the back of your tv?

I don't even know why you mentioned this, where in my post did I ever mention anything about any of this?

About the issue, yeah I did get the antenna and I played with it (almost bite it because I was so pissed at it for not working ) for about 2 hours and finally got it to work, so yeah, I'm glad I don't have to have another bill to pay for no reason.

I'm guessing it's when you called GucciDiva a redneck, a racial slur pertaining white folk, a myth she clearly debunked. I'm sure she wasn't calling you boring..i don't have any premier stations or watch tv either but i took it as a joke..as in, 'hey there are so many entertaining / interesting shows on tv, and all you watch is the news - not very fun'. The nature channel, history channel, etc. are entertaining and educational at the same time; non-news stations don't have to be bad...and not all TV is soap operas and sitcoms. Lighten up.

I steer clear of TV, I have enough on my plate with classes and whatnot.

i adore the science, history, PBS, travel, and DIY programming - interesting and educational - so i just give in and pay for the whole package even though i watch less than half the channels. i agree it sucks that they have us by the short ones in the whole cable-tv industry. i wish they would sell cable 'a la carte', so we could pick and choose - and be charged for only the channels we want - cause i can't be bothered with the main networks with their stupid reality shows and dramas and celebrity peepshows, and those insufferably awful (so called) 'talent' (ugh) contests..... i've heard talk about the a la carte cable idea for years, but of course the cable companies won't do it.

but i get SO much out of the science and history programming that still think it's worth it to have cable for the educational stuff.

As I can afford it, I will pay for cable or satellite. If I had a la carte TV I would probably only purchase 2-4 channels, but they are all cable TV. The information I get there I will never get it anywhere else an watching TV on the computer is pretty annoying(freezes up a lot and slows down your other programs/pages)
