This was never a paradise, but it's been moving downhill at a rapid pace as of the last few decades.
TallRick: You are 100% RIGHT!! People want Sugar-coated versions of reality. FL is NOT the affordable, nice, friendly place to live. Not to mention "safe"!! FL has dgone downhill as you say. It is 100% true.

Illegal Immigration is BAD!! When will Americans understand that?

*clapping* Congrats to Tallrick for telling the truth!! Kudos!!

I will rate you positively (bottom left of the posting). THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD ABOUT FL, keep on telling man!

Chris.

And they believe the people that are real estate agents on this board. Doesn't take much investigation to figure that out. Or the people that are trying to sell their houses and get the heck out. We had someone on this forum that loooooved Florida until she sold her house. Then she turned rabid!

Dude, south Florida is a dump, man. Crack is everywhere. Liberty city, Miami-Dade... oh man. So much crack and pills on the street, it is hard to stop and ask for directions without someone thinking you are buying dope!! LOL

Oh and get this, I asked this one cop outside Miami-Dade for directions and he pretty much spoke no English at all. He thought I was trying to find a hotel, while I needed to find a street! LOL

Chris
if you think miami is a dump, perhaps you better take a look at detroit, michigan!

Wow, that was harsh! Hey, it's only Satan's playground if you let it! The nasty hot and humid days go great at the beach and the fore-warned hurricanes where you have ample time to prepare for, do not happen every season. Not like those un-forewarned tornados or mass floods that occur in other states every year. Hmmm?

if you think miami crime is bad, look at the city comparison for murder, rape and robbery in philadelphia.

i live in a middle income area of philadelphia and have never seen any of the crime. i suspect miami is the same, it all depends on the zip code you live in.
in 2005 all reported crimes was 29,455, and miami's population was 388,295. that means only 7.5% of miamians were victims of a crime in 2005. what's the big hysteria about crime in miami?
2005 victims of crime in five cities :
New York 2.6%
Philadelphia 5.5%
Miami 7.5%
Detroit 8.3%
Atlanta 8.9%
as you can see the chances of being a victim of crime is very low, even in Detroit and Atlanta.

If you think Detroit, St. Louis and Atlanta are safer than Miami then you must be smoking some good stuff that needs to be passed this way. Detroit, STL & Atlanta have much higher crime rates than Miami.

The following stats show that Miami has a lower crime index than the aforementioned cities.
