If you were to rank Miami's Suburbs in prestige, cleanliness, safety, amenities what would be the Best Suburbs and Worst Suburbs? Although I'm not a true Floridian but I will rank them as where I would want to live.

1. Highland Beach
2. Boca Raton
3. Deerfield Beach
4. Coral Springs
5. Pompano Beach
6. Wellington-Honorable Mention

1. Hialeah
2. North Miami
3. Fort Lauderdale
4. Homestead
5. Lake Worth
6. Boynton Beach-Honorable Mention

I'd take out Boca Raton from the list up top.

Out of the places you named that are actually a part of Miami-Dade that you listed, North Miami is the best in my opinion.

I'm talking about the whole area from Palm Beach Gardens to Florida City.

Out of the OP's list of "best suburbs" , none are part of the Miami MSA. The rest are closer to Fort Lauderdale or WPB.

On the "worst" list, Hialeah is its own city and probably as "urbanized" and densely populated as most cities in FL. Ditto FTL.

I'm not sure how helpful a ranking like this is. But my "best" would be:

1. Coral Gables
2. Pinecrest
3. South Beach
4. Mid Beach / La Gorce
5. Aventura

Okay South Florida then! most people lump all suburbs in as Miami Metro.

Even if we consider all of South Florida, I still think the majority of the nicest and most prestigious suburban areas are located in Miami-Dade County.

Coral Gables
Pinecrest
Miami Beach (islands, mid-beach)
Bal Harbour
Key Biscayne

In my opinion, the only places up in Broward or Palm Beach County that could compete are the island of Palm Beach, parts of Boca, and some sections of coastal Fort Lauderdale/Lighthouse Point. Most of the other "nice" areas are run-of-the-mill suburban sprawl (plus palm trees) that you could get in Naperville, IL; Cary, NC; or Alpharetta, GA.

Ahh ok, that would be "South Florida" then, not Miami Suburbs. With that said, I think it depends on what you are looking for. Do you want a more urban environment, some place walkable? Do you like truly suburban living?

Just which are the highly regarded suburbs with a good rep and that are very desirable areas to live?
