So far the flies and insects in general are not too bad. I just put on the OFF clear gel and they seem to not bother me. My little dog stays outside with me most of the day and she just lays on her blanket and doesn't seem to be bothered either.

Nic pics! Our wrestling team was there for the invitational early December last fall. I'd never been there before. Interesting and diverse terrain.

Glad everyone likes the pics so far. Hopefully I can get some pics of the few Bald Eagles that are around. Seeing them flying over the river just puts chills down my spine and makes me smile ear to ear.

The parents and I just put the Pontoon boat in and we are going to go fishing after dinner. I love this area so much...

Now I just need find myself a woman who likes the outdoors as much as I do. It seem all the women I date are city girls and only like to come up to this area during the long weekends or holidays. But if I have to stay single to enjoy it up here as often as I can, then so be it!! I will be happy with me, my dog, my fishing pole, and a few cold drinks!!

It's sooo relaxing. After my morning jog, I went and sat on the dock for about 1 1/2 hours. Just sat there with my eyes closed clearing my mind body and soul... no sounds but the sounds of nature... It just DOES NOT get any better than this!!

No problem about the female thing.. LOL. The boat is in Foot Pond right behind Foot Dam. My parents cabin is right off of Foot Pond. We get to see the Au Sable River Queen boat go by our dock almost every day. I never seem to have my phone around when it does so I can take a pic...

Beautiful and thanks for sharing. I did notice in one of the pictures with vegetation that it was Poison Ivy!
