Maybe it is not a mistake. perhaps they are excepting applications, not accepting them. Maybe there is an excption for firefighter applications from the uh the hiring freeze. Yeah that is it. Firefighter applications are being excepted from the hiring freeze therefore you can submit a fire fighter application and it will be considered.

I've seen quite a few when I go downstate. Here are some I remember.

TURKUYS FOR SALE (White Cloud area)

STORAGE UNITS AVAILABEE (In town Newaygo)

PATATOES FOR SALE (East of Big Rapids). Hey maybe they have MATATOES too.

SNOW PLOING (don't remember exactly where that one was but I think it was Alba)

CHURH SALE (near Sand Lake)

YEILD (painted on the Walmart parking lot in Petoskey, they fixed it a few weeks later)

MACOSTA COUNTY FAIR (a few years back, a big flashing programmed roadworker's billboard on the freeway)

45th PARRALLEL, CLAIRON (when they installed new road signs last summer. What's funny is the original signs were spelled correctly.)
