Thinking of moving into Aspen Lakes and I would like to get feedback from those who loved in the complex if possible (I assume via PM due to restrictions).

However, I would like to hear feedback as to the general area/neighborhood of Holt. Does not seem exciting but by Aspen Lakes it looks relatively safe for a couple of young professionals. How is Cedar St. Since it looks like it has a few shops/restaurants?

South Cedar Street is fine for shops, restaurants, big box stores (Meijer's, Lowe's, ALDI, Sam's Club, Target, Menards and most of your formula restauarants) you are a quick trip north on 127 to East Lansing or you can hop on 96 to get to the west Lansing area or to Okemos. It's a good location, lower taxes, and although Holt doesn't seem to have a lot going on, there is a sense of pride for the community, and the proximity to MSU (back roads) is very desirable. We house hunted in that area and were impressed with the park system, the farmer's market, ease of getting around and the resources available within a short distance. Holt is very safe.
