That's what I was saying. The relative humidity levels are the same but it's colder up north so the absolute moisture level of the air is less but only because it's COLDER. The air at colder temperatures cannot keep as much moisture in it. So, its hard to buy the argument that it feels colder downstate because the actual temperature is warmer than up north.
I'd buy a windchill argument. Maybe it's windier downstate than up north. Quote:

My nephew's wife worked for a large commercial real estate company in Oregon and now works for the same company in Michigan. Theoretically the same job but the reality is far more awful. Because people and companies that owned the properties that her company are managers for were doing better economically it was easier to have them respond to rental clients complaints and needs for maintenance. In Michigan, property owners don't have or don't want to put the money into their properties and the property manager (her) gets caught inbetween. Your husband could theoretically find a similar situation between what he does in TX and MI.
