I know what you mean MSL! It was beautiful here as well today. Yesterday was also about perfect in this area. Got out with the camera, but was too busy just enjoying the walk and hike, I didn't take many photos. Your shot of the Detroit river is great. Deep blue water, and the brilliant blue sky. Doesn't get much nicer.... warmer, yes, but not much nicer.

Sorry not to be able to add a pic, but the Detroit Riv reminded me of a change in my perspective as to color / clarity of the water there. We went through a small rock passage into a backwater to water ski that had crystal clear water. Unfortunately could see beer cans at 15' deep, but it was awsome.

Went out for a bit today.

Here is the Ludington State Park Beach House. Looks like it is waiting on Summer.

Still just a tad too cool for laying on the beach yet.

The sky was really cool looking today.

It is nice to see the sand competing with the snow for who gets top billing on drifts though. Spring can't be too far off when the sand starts to drift again.

I've lived in Michigan all my life, and even when the economy is so bad that it drives people out to other states, I am still in awe of how beautiful my state is. Looking at those pic's has reaffirmed it for me, that I am so very fortunate to live in such a breathtaking state. The lay of the land, so to speak, reaches out pulling me into its everlasting beauty......

Absolutely! Well said, Squab.

What I already miss...giant old Oak trees proudly standing out in the middle of a farm field. I haven't seen very many of them here. Trees are a huge part of the Michigan landscape. Seems barren here compared to MI.

I won't go into the love and awe I feel whenever I stand on the shores of Superior....or Lake Michigan.. sand dunes....squeaky sand...blue/green water. A magical place, my home state, and I'm starting to pine for it.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Warms my heart and makes it feel at peace when I see such landscapes as Mi has to offer. I love the trees.........

I love Lexington.
If we had moved there, instead of Port Sanilac, in 1997, we would probably still be up there.
