Today (in Oklahoma) I listened to the NACAR race in Michigan.
All they talked about(besides the Race) was the Beautiful state of Mi.

So beware: The beauty of Michigan, is in the air.

I'll just keep loading this thread up until I run out of steam.

These are from Pickerel Lake and Townsend Park about 5 miles from where we live (NE Grand Rapids).

Lillypadapalooza!

Townsend Park reminds me of Colorado:

Gawker is ranking all the states from the "least worst" to the "worst." Michigan came in at #35, which ain't bad, and they mention how beautiful the state is!

Yeah, no worries. It's easy to pick on Detroit, Gawker.

The big event for Grand Rapids, ArtPrize, begins in about a month. Artists are already beginning to install their work, including this 3 dimensional mural on the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology. Many of the mural entries for ArtPrize have become permanent additions to downtown, probably 30 or more.

Oh boy... I like the concept of that list, and it is mostly pretty entertaining. But all of the focus on the politics of each state was super annoying. I'm not sure if I want Michigan to do well in the rankings when using their wacked-out criteria. Oh well. I'll just keep reminding myself that it was entertaining. Less political talk, more geography talk please!
