I heard the waves were pretty big yesterday, so I did a YouTube search and found a couple of good videos. I should have went out there and looked for myself!

This one is funny; at about the middle of the video, an extra-big wave rolls in and gets the cameraman wet:

YouTube - Lake Michigan Storm Waves

A pretty good video from channel 8 in GR:

YouTube - High winds, huge waves at Lake Michigan

Yeah, last night they were rolling along at about 12 -14 footers in the Ludington area, but by 9:00 this morning they were already down to about 6 footers it looked like. A couple of teenagers got washed off the North pier yesterday stupidly playing around out there. Fished them out in A-OK shape, then slapped them with a fine for reckless endangerment. LOL (I can laugh and call their act stupid because, as the saying goes --- Been there, did that!) As a stupid teenager I also was knocked down and came within a hair of being washed off the end of the pier by the lighthouse; being where I had no right or reason to be.
