Do most people root for the Detroit teams in every sport? Do they exempt the Lions because they are awful? What about NCAA?

MLB: Tigers
NFL: Lions
NHL: Red Wings
NBA: Pistons, but I really don't watch it much
NCAA: Michigan State (Go Spartans!), Penn State (but MSU comes first)
Others: None. I moved to central PA a few years ago but haven't adopted any of their pro sports teams.

MLB: Phillies
NFL: Eagles
NHL: Hockey? What's that?
NBA: None, don't care
NCAA: Penn State...LOVE JoePa!

I am a lifelong resident of NW Ohio/SE Michigan and I love it here. However, for whatever reason, I have developed a taste for PA sports teams. My dh loves the Tigers, and my ds loves U of M and the Cleveland Indians (relatively local, I guess). Other than that, we aren't really into local sports.

Something that I have observed in most if not all sports markets: when the team is bad, the fans disappear into the woodwork. When the team is good, voila, they come back out in droves. Human nature, I guess. I can remember back in 2003 when the Tigers were rock bottom awful. It was great--you could show up at Comerica for a 7 PM game at 6:30 and have your pick of tickets. Then, about three years ago, you couldn't even get tickets for a game against some lame-o team like the Royals two months in advance unless it was standing room only. I was happy for the Tigers at that point, but not so much for us, lol.

Yes. Even though I live in Niles, which is a stone's throw from South Bend, IN, and close to Chicago, I still support Detroit sports.

MLB: Tigers
NFL: Lions
NHL: Red Wings
NBA: Pistons
NCAA: Michigan (Go Blue!!)

Baseball: Tigers. Always have supported them even through the sucky years (and there have been plenty of those )
Football: Don't follow
Basketball: Don't follow
Hockey: Redwings when I watch a game (about twice a year)
NCAA: Michigan State, but I really don't follow College sports either. I do like the University of Maine Black Bears for College Hockey as well.

MLB: Can't stand baseball, not a real sport. I guess the Tigers just because they are the local team.
NFL: Lions - by default.,
NHL: RED WINGS!!!, 2nd choice; Montreal Canadians
NBA: Pistons, but not really a big basketball fan.
NCAA: U of M, but MSU is growing on me. Just wish at least one of them was good at football.
Others: Shock. R.I.P; EMU - They totally suck but it's my alma mater.

I'm a transplant so I pull for the teams back home

MLB- Tampa Bay Rays
NFL- Tampa Bay Buccaneers I like Stafford, I want to see the Lions do well
NHL- Tampa Bay Lighting (but don't watch it much).
NCAA- Gators but I like MI in the BIg 10 and WMU in the MAC

I like Brad Keselowski in Nascar and he's going full time cup next year.

I'm doing my best to be a Cardinals/Diamondbacks fan, but the Tigers and those Loveable Lions will always be #1 with me.
