Air Force officials were looking for something on par with the Marine Corps’ “Semper Fidelis.”
Argh! We have had so many! Aim High- Cross into the Blue- Do Something Amazing- It's not Science Fiction, it's what we do Every Day-No one comes close- Above and Beyond-
STOP CHANGING IT! AHHH.....
"Semper Fi" ... "Aim High"... sounds too much alike.
I'm still trying to get used to the new USAF logo...arrrgh!
Looks like some "gay pride" medal. :***:
Anyway I have never paid any attention to any "slogan" that any service has; frankly the very idea is IMO dumb. It's like the other services got jealous of "Semper Fi" and felt compelled to create one (or many) out of some childish one-upsmanship thing.
Any true "Sac Trained Killer" feels the same. Carswell AFB, 1984-1988, B28 / B61 / ALCM / SRAM - Ammo Forever!
Carswell, Hickam, McConnell, Dyess. B47, B52. Didn't kill anyone during those years but in the 60s we nearly went after Cubans and Russians.
Besides, it was my father who was the pilot. I'm a child of the Air Force and SAC and proud of it. Dad flew The Hump in WWII.
Peace is our profession.
