My wife and I are looking to rent an apartment in Eagan since we both now work here. We are looking between 700-900 per month. What are the best apartments in the Eagan area, and what should we stay away from?

Any of the apartment complexes around Yankee Doodle/Lexington/Pilot Knob are fine. Some of the areas closer to Highway 13 near Burnsville aren't so nice-but they are easy to spot. Others in that area are fine too.

Stay away from the wescott apartments!!! Crime was so bad 8 years ago the police rented a temporary apartment there to keep things safe. Duckwood apartments are cheap and safe. Thomas lake are good, but in the $1100 range.

I'm not sure you'll be able to find an apartment for $900 in Eagan unless you are looking for a one bedroom. Walnut Trails would be one of the first places that I would look into, but there is a lot of crime there (burglaries..etc). Places on Pilot knob rd are skyrocketing up in rent (have a friend that lives there). Burnsville may be the best place to find what you are looking for.
