...that isn't overrun with bus-loads of camp kids? I'm pregnant and due in a few weeks, so not looking to join a new gym, just someplace I can pay by the day to get some comfort during the hot weather! I live kinda near Como Park in St Paul, but the Como Park pool is super crowded, and more of a kid scene. Any suggestions for more adult friendly places with free swim (as opposed to lap swim)? I'm not looking to swim laps, due to an exercise restriction, just hang out in the water. I'd go to my gym, but the pool is small and I'd be in the way if I was just floating around.

Either. Prefer pool, but lake is fine too.

The Richfield outdoor pool at 66th and Portland is very nice. There are kids and YMCA day campers but the place is never overwhelmed. I think it would be about 20 minutes from you.

I would check some hotels by you. Ones with nice pools will often have day passes.

Oxford Community Center on Lexington/Marshall has shallow/deep ends. Very few people on the deep end. They have several different classes/open swims/lap swims/etc. There may be something for you right in the neighborhood?

Come on up to Lake Superior. The water will freeze your baby solid. Then we can thaw him out in 20 years like Austin Powers.
