I tend to avoid chains, but people seem pretty excited about this one. I might have to give it a try.

It's kind of like the anti-chain. No two locations are the same. And Shake Shack uses high-quality ingredients. It's a company that cares. I wouldn't think of it as your regular fast-food place.

Opening June 9th, much sooner than the projected July-August date. Enjoy it.

I'm excited, just wish it wasn't in the MOA Like others, I avoid MOA like the plague.

Now if Dunkin Donuts would hurry up (sounds like they got a lease for a store in New Hope down the street from where I live which is awesome!) http://www.bizjournals.com/twincitie...-new-hope.html

Now if only Steak N Shake would come too please! Please come to Minnesota! On the Steak N Shake franchise website, Minnesota is available for development so there is at least a chance above 0% http://www.steaknshakefranchise.com/about.html

Why do people get so excited for Shake Shack? I live in NYC, and have eaten there many times, but it's just a burger joint.

It's basically In-n-Out California style burgers, except a tad more upscale. What's with the hype?

Every time I've tried the fare of one of these places with cult-type followings, I've been disappointed. Sure, sometimes they're good... sometimes even very good... but they're never worthy of the awe and reverence that is served up for them.

And let's face it - no fast-food place is, because no fast-food place that's actually turning a profit can be.

I agree! Calm down folks, how many Burger Joints do we have in the Twin Cities? After 18 months they are all but forgotten as some survive and others pull out. Ok-this one serves booze which may be even worse.

The Twin Cities already has Lions Tap. No other burgers are needed.
