If you have asthma, you have it no matter where you live. Are you confusing allergy with asthma. I get hay fever because of the area I live in , the plants that grow here naturally and the crops that are raised here. Asthma is a medical condition. I have asthma and I also get allergic to the pollens and dust that are everywhere here.

It has been said by some, that their asthma seems to bother them less when in dryer climates. my mother in law says hers is better when she is over here visiting and i know i guy that was from Helena area, moved to washington, then back to helena, because the wetter climate and mold in washington made his flair up more.

Our son is only 9 months old. they cannot determine if his asthma is caused by the allergies in the air *pollution in this area* or from genetics.
yet if he has it from the genetic make up it will be worsened with allergies and pollution. the reason why we first thought to move out of cali.

Cali has had a bad year for allergies, and the pollution in the valley is getting worse every year.

Our son being an infant cannot tell me when he's having an asthma attack. its a scary thing when its happened.

its a big deal to me to know if alot of folks in Mt have asthma. or will it be a relief when we move there.

also, i have heard that colder climates can cause asthma. so we will see in do time.

I can't speak for asthma, but I have severe allergies to grass and they bother me a lot more in Montana than on the East Coast.

Asthma has different triggers for everyone, however. For instance, my daughter's triggers are common where we live. In the time we've spent in the drier climates out West and with the different plant life, her asthma has not been triggered at all. The most common asthma triggers are allergy and infection. Consequently, if one does not have allergenic triggers in the environment, their asthma is dormant.

If his asthma is triggered by allergies, it's going to be important to find out what his allergies are no matter where you live.

I've got asthma and allergies. This spring and early summer were very wet, meaning more plant growth and more allergens.

If there are forest fires, summers can be really bad. I am struggling now because of the forest fires. The air quality is so bad in some areas right now, there are warnings to stay indoors if you have breathing or heart problems. But that doesn't always help because it comes right through the HVAC systems.
