I decided last week to buy a new home and started looking with my agent on Tuesday, I was trying to beat the rate hikes. Lennar had a nicely upgraded move in ready home sitting there that is what I was looking for so we signed on Saturday. They told me if I use their lender, not that I had to use their lender, and close in December their promo rate is 3.75% with no closing costs. Their credit is actually pretty big it covers more than I thought it would; they also gave my agent 5% commission because they are trying to close out that subdivision.
As for their lender UAMC they are able to do a 2 week close and I've only talked to one guy twice so they are decently efficient. I have done a lot of mortgages so I knew what they needed and had it over to him before he could even return my call so that probably helps.
