This one is on my must see list. I have been anticipating it ever since I saw the first preview. I don't go to theater much anymore but I will for this.

You guys....I think this movie is going to be special. I'm talking, that one movie that comes along every 5 years that absolutely blows you away. Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, The Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction, Terminator 2, Inception, etc. I feel like this film might win multiple Oscars including best picture. Interstellar could be one of the best movies of the 21st century. Needless to say, I've got very high expectations for this movie, and I don't believe I'll be disappointed.

Like Kanhawk above me, ever since I saw the first trailer nearly 6 months ago, I've been hooked.

One of the things that intrigues me about this movie is not just voyage to the stars, but what life is like on earth in this futuristic tale.
Check out this fascinating scene from the movie, and what apparently passes for conventional thought in this world:

I'm wondering though why the apparent 'heroes' in these movies are always from areas where lots of corn grow.

Is there something that special about corn, or that region of the country?

Reviews are out, in general seems pretty good, 73%:

Interstellar - Rotten Tomatoes

Some reviews were not so kind though.

This is one movie I'll be willing to pay $18 to see at the IMAX! I'm starved for intelligent hard Sci-Fi. And Mac has been on my radar ever since Mud...

I like Hathaway but I'm having a hard time with the idea of her being an astronaut. Hopefully that won't be a problem.

(I liked Mud too)
