I was watching Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry and Vanishing Point last weekend and looked up counter-culture films of the era and came across a reactionary response to anti-establishment films.

Have never heard of this film before and thought how many other hidden films there are which deal with these topics, the far Right and Left, from the era. Do you folks have any to share which are never seen on television even back when most feaure films had television replay? You know, not Easy Rider but stuff that rarely is re-aired.

Here's a good one. Rage, starring George C. Scott.

Quote:
His son is dead. He is dying. Overnight, Dan Logan's peaceful world has been shattered. A military installation has accidentally dumped a fatal dose of experimental nerve gas over Logan's Wyoming ranch and dropped a veil of secrecy over the "incident." With no one to turn to for help, Logan becomes both judge...and executioner.

Just remembered this one. The whole movie is up. A great one starring Jan Michael Vincent and Darren McGavin.

A Marine Corps drill instructor who is disgusted by the fact that the Corps now accepts draftees finds himself pitted against a hippie who has been drafted but refuses to accept the military's way of doing things.

Emperor of the North had one of the most brutal
fight scenes ever. On top of a train.

I'll Never Forget What's 'Isname 1967 UK - very much of its time, a quintessential 'swinging London' 60s flick, but a great satire on the advertising industry - and a standout eclectic cast - Orson Welles, Oliver Reed, Frank Finlay, Marianne Faithful - a side note - I was also in the movie myself - but in spite of the personal connection, the movie stands as a bit of a gem, especially for any 60s aficionados. It was also reputed to be the first mainstream flick in which the F word appeared - Ulysses has been put forward as an another contender.
