OK..I was DUMB enough to listen to my little brother and try and see
how pregnant ladies can fit into a bathtub at the party...ok wait a minute
I got to explain how my little brother ended up in the bathroom with me...
well I went to the WRONG bathroom and they had a low toilet and since
I couldn't see over the big stomach where I was aiming I had to sit
down only the down was lower than I thought and had to scream for
my brother to come in and help me offa the toilet...
brb! This ain't part of the story but I wanna add my pretend girlfriend

ok so we're in there and we both look at the tub and he was askin me
when can he tell people he's gonna be an uncle and we both went
heyyyy how do the ladies do tHAT?? so then hear i am LISTENIN
and wonderin the same thing..
ok and then... I took off my shoes and hurry and sat down since I
thought my little brother could help me out like he did at the toilet
BUT he couldn't! Well meanwhile people were knockin wantin to
come in and stuff...
So we tore down the shower curtain and paniced tryin to get me up
and then my dumb brother REALLY panic and ran to the door
screaming call 911!!!! then slammed the door in people faces...
(He was tryin to keep me from being on youtube
since there was a million video cameras at the party)
I think I need to recover in even telling this story...

It doesn't make me look....where are you going Darlin'? Now? Well...ok...you go check the oil...Tommy, dear, come help Mommy...trying on dress...ok, baby...which shoe...the tall one or the flat one...what's so funny baby? Well...no...I'm not going to wear them like this...which one...hear Daddy laughing on his way out the door...what Tommy?? Do I have a date?? No...not a date...well, yes dear, I'm dressing up...and yes, I'm nervous...well...ok I guess I do have a date...it's with Jim...yes, baby...Daddy knows...NOW...which shoe??? Nevermind...I'll wear the heels...Tommy, baby, do you know where Mommy's gloves are?? YOU WHAT??? Sorry, baby...deep breath...you used them to garden in? SIGH...Where's a girl when you need one?? Quick as lightnin Daddy has me lookin good, got us settled in the limo,
we git there half time.. are escorted inside.. everything so sparkly and
velvety beautiful.. proud as I take Mom over to the cloak room to check
in her things.. I hope she likes my surprise!!
We enter a fancy hall with lots of vases of flowers and floatin candles!
escorted to our table we're already swept up into the ambience of
a fairytale.. Makin sure Mommy is settled first.. then I go & git her
something to drink while waiters come around carryin plate of
fancy hors d'oeuvres .. see Mommy laffin and havin a good time!
Come back so excited my hands are tremblin.. kisses Mommy's cheek..
whisper.. and now I'm gonna do a surprise for you & all the Moms!
: take violin outta case.. smile & walks in between the crowd to the stage
.. shakes hands with the guy helping out.. see Mom's eyes widen & grin

After a less than pretty scene of me trying to pin Jim's boutonniere on...with him half-stripped walking in the door...to get Daddy's bracers on...Seth and his Mother cracking up...a little embarrased...then start laughing with them...kiss Daddy good-bye...and out to the limo...next thing you know...we're there...Jim takes my arm and we walk in...feeling like Cinderella...an almost magical feel in the air...check my wrap at the cloak room...into the hall...all aglow in candelight and the scent of the flowers drifts in the air...escorted to our table...Jim and Seth go get us something to drink...looking around at the beautiful way they decorated the hall...laugh with Seth's Mom about our pre-dance jitters...waiter comes around...take some little vegetable hors d'oeuvres and put them on my plate...Jim brings my drink...kisses me...and whispers he has a surprise for me...for all the Mothers...notice that along with my drink...he has brought out his violin case...he carefully takes it out...and walks up to the stage...my hand goes to my heart...
...as he plays...dig in my bag for my lace handkerchief...wipe my eyes...I am swept away...I see only Jim...as if the whole room just faded away...and there was only the two of us...
...brought back to reality by the quiet applause of Mother's and their gloved hands...
...Jim steps down...and comes back to the table...I rise and hug him...tears smearing my make-up...but I don't care...whisper...so beautiful, Baby...thank you...

look at Mom.. and catch her eye.. o now they changed to such
softness! .. we laf for nothin.. likin the way it sounded with the
happy buzz of all the other Mother&son couples..
An announcer calls out another song & I jumped up.. racin to the
dance floor taking Mom's hand... sayin.. let's do it again Mommy!

(well not away since the dance lasts only an hour but still haaahaa!)
Mom.. do you feel really happy now? I asked.. I know I do & I'm glad
we're alive & can feel & can have this memory.. aren't you?
