But I'm thinking that because the words, the sound, and the tempo of both songs are so different, that when I heard Richard Elliot's version of the Manhattan's song, the main thing that made the two songs so different(i.e. the lyrics) were stripped away and the name of the song kind of stuck out to me.
A trio of songs titled "Crazy Love", one folk rock (Poco, 1978), one Southern rock (Allman Brothers, 1979) and one formulaic 80s pop-rock (Dakota, 1980). Not much in common except the sequence of years and the title.
