Interesting thread. I didn't realize many people actually listened to the radio anymore.

"Five to One" - The Doors
I suspect it is still too politicaly sensitive.

Now that oldies radio is focused on the '80s, the exposure of classic songs from the '70s and, especially, the '60s is declining. Songs I'd love to hear on the radio that I rarely if ever do include:
The Last Time - Rolling Stones
Ticket To Ride - The Beatles
It's My Life - The Animals
Substitute by The Who
Eight Miles High - The Byrds
Baby Blue - Badfinger
Instant Karma - John Lennon
Hazy Shade of Winter - Simon & Garfunkel
Anything by the Talking Heads ( haven't heard them on radio in a long time)
I was Made to Love Her - Stevie Wonder
Something in the Air - Thunderclap Newman

While the above songs actually had some AirPlay back in the day, I wish more stations would broaden their playlists to the '50s through today, maybe allowing a listening experience like:

Superstar by The Carpenters
Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell
Blue by The Jayhawks
Lonely Girls by Lucinda Williams
Cathy's Clown by the Everly Brothers
I left my Heart in San Francisco by Tony Bennett
She's Got Everything by The Kinks
Rock You Baby by George Macrae
Cha Dooky-Do by The Neville Brothers
Borderline by Madonna
Thirteen by Big Star
Overcome by Happiness by Pernice Brothers
Jennifer She Said by Lloyd Cole & The Commotion
6th Avenue Heartache by Wallflowers
Dear Boy by Paul McCartney
Tempted by Squeeze

Or something like that

Voodoo Child (Slight Return). It's my favorite song but I don't think I've ever heard it on the radio. My area doesn't have good stations though, either.

This exactly. For just one example, The Eagles had so many great tunes you never, ever hear such as Ol' 55, Hollywood Waltz, etc., and all you ever hear is freaking Hotel California and Peaceful Easy Feelin'. NOT that they not good songs, but good grief, so many other great ones that are never played on the air, and it's a crying shame. Those of us that are "classic" rock age have been listening to those typical ones for going on forty years.

More Bob Seger...don't care which songs, and two King Crimson songs "In the Court of the Crimson King" and "Ëpitaph". Also some Floyd with Syd Barrett would be nice specifically "Let There Be More Light", and some of the live Hendrix especially "Machine Gun" would be awesome.
