Your just buyest , because he's a younger decent looking guy, that sings really well. But he's a performer, Sinatra was a God !!!!! He was the original cool cat, and no one can match him. Everyone tries to compare todays singers to the originals. I think even boblay and Harry, would even argue this point. Enjoy the new and old equally.
Yes, Sinatra the best, but Buble comes close! He is amazing. Saw that really cute movie, Blast from the Past where Perry Como singing on the radio, now have gotten alot of his music (very smooth voice!). Even though these old crooners way before my time, I appreciate their voices compared to what is out today, ugh!
Buble is a good singer and a good entertainer. He also is in the minority of performing these great old songs (and some more recent ones in that style).
However Sinatra is a whole other level, that maybe Bennett is in, but few others.
Oh I hope you meant, Rat Pack, and not Ratt... the 80's hair band...
Like The Beatles are the greatest rock band the world will ever know... like Jack Nicklaus will be the greatest golfer the world will ever know (regardless of what tigger does), Sinatra will always be known as the greatest crooner of all time... plus all the mistique... Kennedy's, Vegas, Rat Pack, apparently nailed Marilyn, ex-wives, organized crime links (although extremely unconfirmed) the attention the FBI gave him because of it (wasted millions of dollars for nothing), all the money he has given away to charities and was Very low key about it, public service... plus a presence on the stage that was magical... I dunno... can anybody really top that in crooner world? Like the Beatles in the rock world, probably not... or ever.

Nah... my best friend's 17 year old daughter loves Michael Buble and this is someone who is usually into Coldplay, Greenday, and Evanescence. So if new blood is what it takes to get her interested in good music I'm all for it. Maybe someday I'll surprise her with a collection of Sinatra hits.
I saw this comparison when Buble was first getting somewhat popular. I remember getting my wife a Valentine's Day card that played one of this songs when you opened it and thinking, wow, he's not bad. As far as Sinatra territory...eh, probably not.
I'm definately a huge fan of Michael Buble, the only problem is that for this time period, everything sounds a bit immitated. Harry Connick Jr. is another favorite of mine, and when he came out, there was a small boom of "neocrooners". Buble will have a good career, but he doesn't have the personality or public presence that Sinatra had, simply because mainstream society doesn't bend this way anymore.
Love his voice, love his music. I'm not a fan of jazz so I avoid those songs that sound too jazzy to me. I have a couple of his CDs. I think Home is my favorite song of his.
Did you know he had a very brief appearance in the movie "Duets?" It was on a few days ago on cable. He portrayed a karaoke contestant.
ACKKK! ACKKK! A stake through my heart! No one can ever beat Frank!
Never heard of Michael Buble....off to listen to him and see if he even has a chance.....not in my heart, of course, but with the general public!
