So,

I am still looking for the perfect area to call next home while my house is currently selling. We have been driving all over Mt. Juliet, but I just want to weigh my options.

How is LaVergne as somewhere to call home? How is it compared to mount juliet for safety, schools, things to do etc.

I guess I should throw Smyrna in the mix too.

Of the three, Mount Juliet would be my pick.

Mostly due to traffic issues.

Is that due to the I-24?

I do work in the middle of downtown Nash currently. My temp housing is in Mt. Juliet currently, but just wanted to weigh all my options if there are other good comparable areas for a family.

I drive from just north of downtown to Smyrna once a week, so going the opposite way of the commute. EVERY SINGLE WEEK - there is an accident coming north and 24 traffic is at a crawl or stopped. For miles. There would not be enough money in the world to do that commute.

I'd also choose MtJ. As far as commute goes, you also have the Music City Star light rail line as an option.

Mt Juliet is much nicer than LaVergne. If you want to look at similar options. You could look at Hendersonville and Franklin.

Yes, def. Mt. Juliet. I lived in Smyrna/LaVergne right out of college. Have you looked in the Rural Hill area around MJ? Franklin and Hendersonville are comparable options as well.

ive browsed around the rural area some...not much. As far as the train...How does that work? I work more in midtown, so I dont really see the train as being much benefit?

The train lets off at Riverfront Park area. They have busses that run from train station to West End. Agreed, from Midtown the Music City Star isn't quite as attractive. When you said "middle of downtown" i assumed the middle of the core downtown.
