Linda and I were talking about the old Howdys Beefburger on Elm street.. doing a little research I came across the statement that they were owned by Dunkins.. ( And the Dunkins on Elm is where Howdys was )

anyone have pics? Historical info? Personal stories..Allow me to share mine.. I worked the fryer and bun steamer I was maybe 16 going on 17.. the boss was maybe a all of 18

There was this girl there. She loved Aerosmith and I of course lusted after her.
I bought the tickets, she said yes, boss fired me, told her she HAD to work that night or lose here job.. she chose job over Aerosmith..but, for the rest of that summer I got gobs of free food from her, even after I started dating Linda.

Good times.

I feel like I SHOULD have pictures, but can't locate them. I used to bring the kids down once in a while and they'd get a Howdy Doody button with their order.

this picture is of the old Howdy Beefburger in Keene

there is a blurb under the pic about DD.... If I remember correctly, DD coffee was on the Howdy's menu.

I was such a naive kid... I thought that our Howdy Beefburger was the only one in the world Funny, now that you mention it, DD did take over the Howdy Beefburger building in Haverhill (back when it was the ONLY Dunks in town... ) What's the connection?

William Rosenberg, who founded Dunkin’ Donuts, also founded Howdy Beefburgers a popular burger franchise in the Boston area which grew to approximately 27 locations until it closed in the late 70’s.
