My commute here in Massachusetts is about 45 minutes to an hour or more with horrible traffic so I am ready for anything at least 30 minutes or less perhaps. I realize these are two different cities one being more North but I am not sure what branch in a company I will be working in yet (one of the two) and wanted to know what town is nice to start out in as young professionals just married? Probably going to be looking for a house no more than $300,000. Not looking for extremely rural but if we liked it enough maybe!

Close to Manchester, I'm a fan of Auburn and Candia.

Welcome to New Hampshire! I would check out Merrimack, Bedford and Goffstown. Some nice homes available in your price range. All great communities close to Route 3 and the amenities of Manchester (Whole Foods, mall shopping, dining options). You won't regret getting rid of that south shore commute.
