I just moved to NJ 2 months ago. I need to take the NJT to Penn Station and figured I'd drive to Newark, park and take the NJT from there.

Can anyone let me know what's the address of the NJT station in Newark? I went to the website and there seems to be 2 stations.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You use the Train to Newark Penn station , same goes for New York Penn station. There are 3 lines that feed into Newark Penn Station (Raritan Valley line , North Jersey Coast line and Northeast Corridor) and 4 that feed into New York Penn station ( Midtown Direct , Montclair - Boonton , North Jersey Coast line , Northeast Corridor)

Nexis, thanks. I need driving directions to Newark Penn. I'm in Springfield, so do I just take 22 east all the way? Do you know if there are parking garages adjacent to the station?

You can drive and park at the Summit Station and take the train to New York Penn station for Midtown Manhattan and Hoboken for Lower Manhattan.

22 to 21 to Market - lots of parking lots right around the station.

You don't even need the address. In Google maps just type in "Newark Penn Station NJ" and it will direct you there. There is a parking garage directly across the street that costs about $21/day. You can find some cheaper lots on the side streets.

Bingo, or you can tell us where you are driving from would help.

If you are taking 22 East, where 22 ends by Newark Airport, get on NJ 21 north, which is also known as McCarter Hwy locally. As you come down NJ 21, you will be alongside the RR tracks next to you on the right. When you get to the area where the tall skyscraper class buildings are (Gateway Center) Penn Station will be about a block over to your right. There is parking nearby including on the other side of the tracks.
Another popular option is to park near the Harrison PATH station which is just across the river from Newark Penn and take the PATH train into NYC. It's cheaper but has more stops.

Nexis, I've thought of driving to Summit but I'm just not sure if there will be any parking lots available by the time I get there. I'm looking to get to Summit at about 10.30am.
